What to bring

  • Handy items for children's classes... stickers and souvenirs from your country.
  •  
  • Funds of around $2000 for initial settling in (before your first pay-packet)... Hotels, apartment (with bond), normal day living expenses.
  •  
  • If you have had a CHANGE OF NAME since receiving degree(s), diploma(s) or any other important documents, please supply a marriage license or divorce papers etc...for proof of CHANGE OF NAME.

  • Mobile Phone

  • Ladies underwear (over size 12)

  • Ladies shoes.... Tampons

  • Hotel prices have increased enormously. Usually $25 a night for a decent room.

    Body Art

  • No body piercings or tattoos to be on display.

    Apartments

  • On average apartments in Ho Chi Minf City are around $400 - $450 US per month (furnished, ADSL,cable TV,Air-con most have maid service and laundry).

  • Usually a landlord asks for 2 months rent up-front (this may include a BOND)

    Dress Code 

  • LADIES - Clean and tidy appearance(hair) Smart Casual...NO strappy tops, boob tubes...Mini Skirts...Must wear shoes NOT THONGS.

  • MEN - Tie, business shirt, business pants, good shoes. Clean and tidy appearance( hair-clean shaven or well kept facial hair).

    Health Care

  • Vietnam has FANASTIC INTERNATIONAL HOSPITALS.

  • Check what Dentist you choose...some are Internationally certified (also for cosmetic dentistry).
  •  
  • Cosmetic Surgeons...as good as, or even better than the west...at half the price.

  • Health Care availiable before leaving Australia Seek Travel.
